See MiFis are very small gadgets. And they should be if portability is what we are going for. But then, pushing for smaller sizes leads to a couple of reasonable concessions/compromises. Given a choice between having a display on your MiFi or a bigger, longer lasting battery, for most people, having a bigger battery is a no-brainer. For this reason, most MiFis lack a display that would have otherwise been used to display some information on the status of the MiFi.

We still need to manage the MiFi device and configure it to our liking. These devices, therefore, come with a way to access the Dashboard, a user interface that offers you control over your gadget.

How to Access your MiFi/Router dashboard

There is a universal method for accessing your Router or MiFi dashboard, even though different manufacturers will have different ways for users to do so. Most routers come with a default IP address and login credentials, which vary from one manufacturer to the next. If you haven’t bothered to go in and make changes to your network settings, you may find that you can still access the admin panel using that information. To be able to do that though, you need to know how to find the IP address of your router.

Below is a list of common Router and MiFi models and their Admin panel IP addresses.

Other routers

For Windows users, there is a sure way to find your router’s default IP address, regardless of your router’s manufacturer or model. This will work even if your router isn’t operating on the default settings. To do so, enter “cmd” in the search field and click the top result to access the Command Prompt. Then, in the resulting window, type “ipconfig” to bring up a page with information on your network’s connection.
