You Can Now Book an Appointment for a COVID-19 Vaccine With Rocket Health in Uganda

The pandemic has transformed our lives. Lockdowns have forced us to change how we socialize, how we shop, and how we work. But as the jab rate of the COVID-19 vaccine rises, parts of the world are opening up. But of all these new changes and habits, one thing stands out for me, and that is telemedicine. I.e., the ability to order and get medical care using technology.

In our neighborhood, Rocket Health is a pioneer in that space and has made headway by allowing patients to consult a doctor and order pharmacy products from the comfort of their homes. Recently, one of their clinics has been authorized by the ministry to be a vaccination center for the COVID-19 Vaccine.

How to Book an Appointment for a COVID-19 Vaccine With Rocket Health in Uganda

  1. The first option is through the USSD short code. Dial *280*4# either on MTN or Airtel number, and choose option 2 to book an appointment for vaccination. A doctor will give you a call to confirm your details and the type of vaccination you want to be done.
  2. You can as well order the COVID-19 test through their WhatsApp number 0700100700.
  3. Call a dedicated 24-hour toll-free number 0800277015 using any telecom network in the country and book an appointment for your COVID-19 vaccine with Rocket health.
  4. The last option can be through their online store www.rockethealth.shop and schedule a clinic appointment through the e-shop. Click here to place your order.

It’s worth noting that vaccinations for COVID-19 vaccine are only available on Mondays and Wednesdays and the available vaccines are Pfizer, and, Johnson & Johnson at the moment. The clinic is found on the Ground floor of the Rumee building along Lumumba Avenue in Kampala, Uganda.
