In addition to the adjusted pricing for DStv bouquets announced in August 2022, Multichoice Uganda has quietly introduced a new entry-level, or cheapest, bouquet called DStv Lumba, which costs 15,000 UGX a month and comes with over 30 channels you can watch.
In this guide, Let’s look at how DStv Lumba compares to existing packages and if it makes financial sense to consider subscribing to it. Being the cheapest package doesn’t necessarily make it the best package provided the FIFA World Cup season is here.
DStv Lumba Channels
DStv Lumba has 37 channels you can watch. Below is the list of all channels you can watch when you subscribe to the Lumba package. This package has all the local channels and a few options when it comes to sports and entertainment. If you are considering it for home use, it’s an ideal option provided kids are the primary patron of the content and channels. The channel list and options aren’t the worst but rather complement the price point.

Previous increases were attributed to the rising cost of acquiring TV rights for the majority of TV channels, which influenced the cost of delivering content to customers. The new entry-level package is affordable and is a bouquet worth considering.
