DStv Uganda to upgrade customers to higher package free of charge in new campaign

The current global pandemic marks one of the first times in recorded history that most of the population has stayed indoors for such an extended period of time. In light of this, DStv Uganda has kickstarted a new campaign to give its subscribers a 35% discount on their subscriptions in order to keep them glued on their TVs.

In a nutshell, DStv subscribers who have renewed their subscriptions will get automatically upgraded to the next higher package at no extra cost. This will apply to all active and disconnected Access, Family, Compact and Compact Plus customers who renew their subscription packages.

As for the channels, we will defer to DStv’s twitter feed, seeing as the channel lists on the DStv Uganda website differ.

Customers on the Compact package will discover a world of international and local entertainment on 1 Magic, E! Entertainment, Comedy Central and an array of movies on M-Net Movies Binge.

DStv Compact Plus customers will enjoy the best in international series and movies on M-Net and M-Net Movies Premier.”

The times being as they are, it’s a good gesture from DStv to widen the entertainment value of their packages. It also doesn’t hurt that such a move will retain a loyal viewership in such trying times. We have all become pinch pennies due to the economic uncertainties.
