Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S8 alongside the Galaxy S22 series during its first unpacked event of 2022. The Galaxy Tab S8 series consists of three tablets; Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S8 is the basic and the most affordable model in this series.

Just looking at the new Galaxy Tab, it doesn’t look different from its predecessor – the Galaxy Tab S7. It is also a simple, and elegant-looking slate with thin bezels around the 11-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels). It measures 10 x 6.5 x .02 inches and weighs just 1.1lb. For its display, it comes with a super AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and for quality gaming, and an S Pen stylus (Which ships on every device in the Galaxy Tab S8 line).
On the rear of the tablet, you’ve got a 13MP main camera, supported by a 6MP ultra-wide option for wider shots. While this camera quality is nowhere near the new Galaxy S22 series, it’ll produce decent images – coupled with its ability to record 4K videos @30/60fps.
The front-facing camera is a 12MP ultra-wide camera. This should do a decent job with video calls and selfies, but don’t expect too much.
Just like with the new Galaxy S22 series, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 tablet line will run on the 4nm Octa-Core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon) in the U.S. and other markets where Samsung’s Exynos chipset is not available. And for other markets, the Galaxy Tab S8 line will run on the Exynos chipset.
