Oraimo Freepods 3 is Coming to Nigeria

Oraimo Freepods 3

The earbud market in Nigeria has got a couple of strong players vying for the top position. Samsung has got the Galaxy Buds, Apple with its Airpods, Jbl, Tecno’s buds, and Oraimo Freebuds. Oraimo is the newest player amongst the bunch, but in that time, the brand has risen rapidly to become one of the most sought-after brands in Nigeria for not just top-quality earbuds, but also, budget-friendly smartwatches, Power banks, headsets, and Bluetooth speakers

The brand launched the Freepods 2 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds in Nigeria, in January, and with the introduction of the “2Baba” version, the popularity of the earbud rose unbelievably. Oraimo also released the Freepods 2 Pro which came in an entirely new design and a couple of features.

Oraimo says the new Freepods 3 earbud will be unveiled in Nigeria in a couple of days. The earbud is coming in to succeed the Freepods 2 unveiled earlier in the year. Here are a few upgrades we expect to see when the new Freepods 3 is unveiled.

What We Expect to See

Active Noise Cancellation

This is long overdue on Oraimo’s earbuds. Active noise cancellation needs a combination of hardware and software to work effectively. Although Oraimo has got the hardware part sorted with its earbuds that come with silicone ear tips. It is, however, still lacking in the software area. Earbuds like Apple’s Airpods Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro use microphones to pick up low-frequency noise and neutralize it to achieve active noise cancellation. It’ll be really disappointing if the new earbuds don’t feature Active Noise Cancellation.

Transparency Mode

It is only ideal that Active Noise Cancellation is accompanied by Transparency Mode. Images on Oraimo’s Instagram page suggest that the Freepods 3 is designed to have silicone tips. If they do, then the Transparency Mode is a must. You can think of Transparency Mode as the opposite of Active Noise Cancellation. Earbuds with this feature allow ambient sound through their microphones so you can hear things happening around you without removing the buds from your ear.

Improved Audio Quality

The Oraimo earbuds we reviewed (Freepods 2 (2baba edition) and Freepods 2 Pro) were actually decent in the sound department. Sound was crystal clear. Both earbuds, however, fell short in the bass department. They both offered very little bass. We expect that Oraimo has worked on this and the new earbud produces rich bass and crystal clear sound.

In conclusion, the Oraimo Freepods 3 will be unveiled in Nigeria in the coming days. We will definitely be on standby to tell you all about it; the launch event and all the specs and features of the earbud.
