Safeboda launches 50% discount on cashless rides

In July of 2017, Safeboda introduced credit as one of the payment methods for rides. Since then, customers would get to their destinations without fishing out their wallets as long as they had Safeboda credit loaded on their account.

After reinstating mobile money credit top up, the largest boda hailing company in Uganda has now moved to offer customers a whopping 50% discount on all cashless rides. Users can pre-load their accounts using MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money or purchase credit from a Safeboda.

This Safeboda discount on cashless rides doubles the previous discount of 25%. Travelling at half price? It can’t get more awesome than this.

The 50% discount on cashless rides comes at a time when Safeboda made a small increment to the usual fares during the morning and peak hours. Whereas it still remained one of the most affordable boda hailing services, the discount is set to increase the compan’s competitive advantage.
